women's day - Sara Laafou interview Morocco

It is the year 2022. While it is true that the world today is no longer that of the past where gender equality was hardly even a concept, there is still much room for improvement to reach a world where we can boldly say that it is one that is free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination. One that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive.

On International Women’s Day every year, since 1911, women’s achievements are celebrated to increase visibility, as a reminder of the need for equality, and to raise awareness against bias. Reaching a gender equal world needs efforts and involvement from global brands to grassroots groups, all working together towards the common goal of gender parity. Together, we can #BreakTheBias!

My advice for women on this day is to persevere and stay strong – because they are basically strong: it’s the feminine principle.

Sara Laafou - country manager Morocco

One of the missions of International Women’s Day this year is to forge inclusive work cultures where women’s careers thrive, and their achievements are celebrated. In line with this, we are proud to celebrate Sara Laafou, 37, a proud mum of 2 boys, and our country manager in Morocco. She joined Nipro over 2 years ago, and since then has fought hard to establish the Nipro brand in the country.

Watch her interview where she shares the challenges that she faces in fulfilling her professional role in a traditional society. What she shares may come as a surprise – the challenges are not all related to her gender! Sara is dedicated and committed, a fighter who clings to her goals – find out how she has overcome challenges to reach success today, what motivates her, and how she ensures a good work-life balance.
