To support our continued growth, we are seeking a seasoned and strategic Senior Financial Analyst to join our EMEA HQ in Mechelen.
About the role
Reporting directly to the FP&A Manager, you will be a key player in our finance team, dedicated to Nipro Medical Europe (NME), which boasts a turnover of approximately EUR 400 million and 20+ legal entities. NME operates through five business models: sales and distribution, an operational holding company, three manufacturing entities, a technical service provider, and Renal Care provider clinics.
As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will be instrumental in supporting driving financial planning, analysis, and strategic decision-making processes. This role demands a high level of analytical acumen, attention to detail, and the ability to convey complex financial information to senior stakeholders. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute significantly to the financial health and strategic success of the organization.
What you'll do
- Partner with senior business stakeholders to gather insights, analyse trends, and provide strategic recommendations.
- Act as the SAC reporting ambassador, providing training and technical support to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with master data owners to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial master data.
- Help to develop and communicate financial narratives that simplify business complexities for various levels of stakeholders.
- Conduct in-depth financial and sales data analysis, delivering meaningful variance analysis to support strategic business decisions.
- Together with the rest of the team; you monitor and report on financial KPIs, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Aid in the development of new financial reports and maintain the accuracy of the existing reporting library.
- Perform comprehensive ad hoc financial analysis and effectively communicate insights to senior stakeholders.
- Validate the integrity of financial statements through thorough checks and calculations during or after the closing period.
- Play a pivotal role in supporting business-related projects from a financial planning and analysis perspective, including profitability and cost analysis, system optimization and implementation.
- Identify and implement opportunities to enhance financial planning processes, increasing efficiency and accuracy.
What you'll need
- Advanced degree in economics, business management, accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Strong experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic analysis.
- Proven ability to partner with senior business leaders and translate financial data into strategic recommendations.
- Experience in an international environment.
- Excellent command of English; proficiency in other languages is a plus.
