Nipro Medical Europe, a global market leader in renal care, is strengthening its position with the successful acquisition of German ‘MTN Neubrandenburg’. This acquisition fits Nipro’s renal care strategy of being a solid total solution provider for its customers.
Although regulatory approvals are still pending, the activities of MTN are expected to be integrated into Nipro within the next three months.
Enhancing Nipro’s position as a Total Renal Care Solution Provider
Nipro is investing further in the manufacture of acid concentrates for hemodialysis. This acquisition is an important strategic addition to Nipro’s development as it adds significantly to its capacity in ‘concentrates’ and it also enlarges Nipro’s product portfolio.
Through the acquisition, Nipro is now able to optimize its supply chain by balancing between its 2 manufacturing units: MTN in Germany and Nipro Renal Solutions in Spain. Moreover, the location of MTN allows Nipro to expand its geographical market reach.
