makoto - Live case from CTC Essex

Seeing is believing! This is exactly what our vascular products are designed to do. And recently, there were two groundbreaking procedures.

Firstly, at The Essex Cardiothoracic Centre in the UK, we performed a successful live case with Makoto NIRS/IVUS. Intracoronary imaging and physiology worked together to reveal the best diagnostic results. In addition, the live case was transmitted to the Physiology Course in Aalst, Belgium. It gave healthcare professionals a chance to learn about our innovative techniques. Along with our Clinical Training and Education Manager (Vascular), Mark Green, and we were accompanied by the operators of this groundbreaking procedure - the remarkable Dr. Tom Keeble and Dr. Jon Davies from CTC Essex. Truly a milestone!

Secondly, at EMC Rotterdam's Thorax Center, the first case with a third-generation HF-OCT mobile imaging system was conducted in the European Union. Dr. Joost Daemen and his team led this revolutionary procedure marking a major step forward in our commitment to providing innovative and cutting-edge care. It has opened possibilities for a less invasive procedure to pinpoint the diagnosis. This achievement was attainable thanks to the Gentuity team - Desmond Adler (President of Cardiovascular at Gentuity), and Giovanni J. Ughi (Sr. Director at Gentuity).

Gentuity - HF-OCT 1st in EU

To take it up a notch, the first HF-OCT procedure was broadcasted live globally to over 1000 attendees from the EMC Cathlab under the leadership of Dr. Joost Daemen and Dr. Ziad Ali. It was wonderful to see how intracoronary imaging can support physicians in the decision-making process, both pre- and post-procedural.

Come with us on this groundbreaking journey and congratulate our vascular team on this impressive accomplishment.
