Turning Nipro’s hardware into heartware

At Nipro, we believe in contributing to a society that cares for one another. As well as physical health, mental health, sustainability, and equity are all topics that are just as important to us.

As part of our ongoing efforts at corporate social responsibility, we recently partnered with a Belgian non-governmental organization (NGO), Ondernemers voor een Warm België (Entrepreneurs for a Warm Belgium), whose aim is to give people, especially children, equal opportunities to develop themselves, focusing mainly on the areas of education, food, and culture.

One of this NGO’s laudable programs is to ensure that used laptops – whether donated by companies or by individuals - are refurbished, then made available to families in need.

This year, Nipro is proud to support this initiative by contributing almost 50 of our old laptops to bridge the digital divide, enabling people who can really use this extra boost in life to connect to the digital world. In today’s connected reality, laptops can be used in many ways – to find a job; to follow lessons online; or simply, to be connected to the outside world.

Giving back to society, doing good for everyone – this is something that we hold dear at Nipro. ‘We care’ is one of our core values, and donating these laptops is one way for us to show that we care. Our motto ‘Live Longer. Live Better.’ extends to more than just physical health, it’s holistic - we care about the entire 360° well-being of people.

Moving forward, Nipro has made a firm commitment to be a hardware (heartware) donor and to continue to donate our used laptops to this NGO so that a new lease of life can be breathed into them, in turn supporting more lives in society.
