Nipro PharmaPackaging India (NPH), Pune plant achieved a remarkable feat that passed through three rigorous qualifying stages. It is the only manufacturing plant India presented with a Certificate of Appreciation for Good Practices in Safety System in Medium Scale Industry in Major Accidents Hazards Units.

The Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) is one of the oldest apex business organizations in India that initiated the awards to motivate industries to adopt robust safety systems.

This year:

  1. NPH was one of the 99 applicants across sectors such as FMCG, power generation, construction, metals, cement, oil, and gas.
  2. NPH applied for the first time and was recognized for its efforts.
  3. No other manufacturing plant qualified for the platinum, gold, silver awards and Certificate for Appreciation in this category - Medium Scale Major Accidents Hazards Units.

This recognition is a testament to our unwavering commitment to implementing and upholding the highest standards of Environment, Health, and Safety measures at the Nipro PharmaPackaging India, Pune plant.

Tedious qualification process:

A year ago, the assessors from FICCI left no stone unturned. Mr. Ajay Pannu, Head - EHS, Thermo Fisher Scientific conducted an on-site safety audit and fact-checked the documents. Later, Dhanajirao Jadhav, Assistant Manager – EHS, who steered this project, presented to the FICCI Jury Members Group on Nipro’s commitment to safety at the workplace and followed good safety practices.

Importance of the award:

This certificate paves the way to fight for the top FICCI awards, but also recognizes and validates the enormous efforts undertaken to ensure the highest standards of Environment, Health, and Safety are maintained at the workplace.

Mr. Ashish Gangadhar Moghe (Managing Director-NPH), Mr. Paresh Thaker (Director Operations), Mr. Lakshman Nannaware (Plant Head), Mr. Juned Akhtar (HR & Admin Head India), Mr. Raosaheb Surve (AGM HR & Admin Head Pune Plant) have worked hard towards establishing a safety culture that prioritizes Occupational, Health and Safety.
